Bizzy is on the road trip! Bizzy (the people who let you rate and share the local places you go with friends) is launching their “Check Out America” road trip - where they will drive over 4,000 miles through almost 20 states - hosting MeetUps along the way to find out where people love to eat. Bizzy believes that creating, sharing and reading local business reviews should be as easy as taking a photo, selecting a Like/Unlike icon and writing a tip in just a few words. Now you have the chance to rate the businesses you visit with a Twitter-length mini-review while you’re on-the-go (rather then having to sit down at your computer and type out an extensive review). The "Check Out America" road trip will kick off with a launch party in San Francisco on July 11th and hit cities including San Diego, Phoenix, Albuquerque, N.M., Lubbock, Texas, Austin, Texas, Dallas, Shreveport, La., New Orleans, Birmingham, Ala., Atlanta, Raleigh, NC., Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York City and Boston where the Bizzy team will be talking to Bizzy users from across the United States at the MeetUps and dinners. Slacker has expanded its artist showcase offerings with the new Ida Maria Radio, Sondre Lerche Radio and Matt Costa Radio stations. These three stations include songs from the artists themselves, songs that they like and that have inspired them, as well as commentary by the artists themselves. These three stations provide different takes on indie sound. Ida Maria's songs, with her punk inspired energy, has been featured on television shows such as Louie, Grey's Anatomy and My Life as Liz. Her song "Oh My God" is in Rock Band 3. Sondre Lerche's music is inspired by jazz, '80s pop and Brazilian music. He composed most of the music in Dan in Real Life (2007). California native Matt Costa has is a folky acoustic artist. His music has been included in the movies I Love You, Man and Marmaduke and the Youth in Revolt trailer. With these three additional stations Slacker Radio's Artist Showcase continues to provide "listeners of all genres with a full spectrum of music discovery from songs to autobiographies,” said Scott Riggs, Director of Radio at Slacker. “It connects listeners with their favorite artists by emphasizing that even the most influential songwriter was once and still is a fan of other artists.”
