The Smith Micro team was in full force last week at San Diego Comic-Con, demoing several of its software programs, giving away fun comic-themed goodies and impressing comic fan attendees with its offerings. In addition to getting a first look at the new Manga Studio software, Manga Studio 5 EX, attendees were given the opportunity to watch award-winning artist Victor Parades demo Smith Micro’s 2D animation software, Anime Studio. They were also able to take part in a free giveaway of t-shirts for MotionArtist, Smith Micro’s software program designed for adding motion to comic creations and were given the chance to win printed superhero masks and limited edition “Axe Cop” posters created by Manga Studio artist Ethan Nicolle. Poser 10 and Poser Pro 2014, the newest versions of Smith Micro’s 3D software, were also being demoed at the booth. Many well-known and long-time users of Smith Micro’s products were also at SDCC, including Axe Cop and Bearmageddon creator Ethan Nicolle, cartoonists Lar deSouza and Ryan Sohmer, the Rooster Teeth Productions team, comic artist and Man of Action Studios guest Marc Rene and award-winning writer, producer and director Kirk Kushin.
